Welcome to Promaths Alumni
Promaths Alumni is a society, a network of professionals, university students and those in the working world. It is an opportunity to make contact, connect and engage with each other in a social network which may represent real-world professional relationships. In universities, we have different Promaths Alumni Chapters lead by students within the society in those different universities .
We, as the UCT Promaths Alumni, are part of the 4 Chapters in the Western Cape and we welcome all former Kutlwanong students in UCT to come join us. And experience the wondrous of our relation-pillars. Getting to Connect, Motivate, Support and Empower each other.
The main drive of these pillars is the biggest vision that we all have as the Promaths Alumni nationally, the persuit of a successful Economic change through us. To achieve this vision and bring about positive change in South Africa, we have to work together as students. As professionals, we are more than capable of doing what's best in our potential to play our roles in achieving what we've set: the persuit of a successful Economic change in South Africa through us. To all Kutlwanong students, we call you, to be part of the vision, be part of the Promaths Alumni Family, because your success is our success.
The UCT Chapter
The Promaths Alumni Society in the University of Cape Town(UCT), forms part of the Promaths Alumni Societies in all other universities, also known as the Chapters. The UCT Chapter was established by a group of students who attended the Kutlwanong Centre for Maths, Science and Technology with a common goal, which is to bring together all students who attended the Kutlwanong programme. Get to know each other while creating an everlasting bond of support and unity, a family. To-date, we are a big family that comprises of all UCT students who attended the programme. Our seniors work together to offer Mentorship support to first-year students, helping them to transit better from High School to the university environment. In Academics, we also have some of our members offering their support as Tutors in their modules of preference. In each and every year, we also hold 4 Main Events, namely the Connect, Motivate, Support and Empower events that are entailed with mind-refreshing experience from academics, engaging with the alumni from SU, UWC & CPUT, with motivations and encouragements. The titles of these events, are motivated by what we call The Pillars, as we connect, motivate, support and empower each other during our university years.
